Know the Truth

To know the truth means to pursue a deep and accurate understanding of God’s Word. We believe the followers of Christ should not remain spiritually shallow but grow in knowledge, wisdom, and discernment through careful study of Scripture. Through teaching and discipleship, we seek to understand the full counsel of God and to develop faith rooted in truth.

  • John 8:32 — “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
  • John 17:17 – “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 — “Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.”
Defend the Faith

Faith and reason work together. We encourage deep thinking, study, and theological training. Christians are called not only to believe the truth but also to explain and defend it. We seek to equip believers with the knowledge and confidence to respond to questions, challenges, and objections about the Christian faith with clarity, wisdom, and grace. Through apologetics and biblical teaching, we train believers to thoughtfully engage the world and give a reason for the hope they have in Christ. We are committed to speaking the truth in love, even when addressing controversial or difficult topics or issues.

  • 1 Peter 3:15 — “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. …”
  • 2 Corinthians 10:5 – “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
  • Jude 1:3 — “…I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.”
  • Titus 1:9 – “He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.”
  • Philippians 1:7 – “…whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me.”
Be Bold

Followers of Christ are called to live and speak with courage, even when truth is unpopular. We are committed to proclaiming the truth of the Gospel without fear, compromise, or hesitation. Boldness does not mean harshness, but rather faithful conviction rooted in love and trust in God.

  • Acts 4:29 — “Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.”
  • 2 Corinthians 3:12 – “Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.”
  • Proverbs 28:1 – “The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”
  • 2 Timothy 1:7-8 — “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.”
  • Ephesians 6:19-20 – “Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”
  • Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Think Biblically

Thinking biblically and having a biblical worldview is essential because it anchors a believer in God’s unchanging truth rather than shifting opinions, emotions, or cultural influences, allowing them to see and interpret life through the lens of Scripture. It guides decisions in every area by focusing on what honors God rather than simply reacting to feelings. More than outward behavior, it transforms the heart by reshaping desires, values, and priorities to align with God’s will. It also protects against deception by developing discernment in a world full of conflicting ideas and provides clear answers to life’s biggest questions. As a result, a believer can represent Christ more faithfully through both words and actions, living consistently and authentically. Ultimately, it leads to a life in which everything—thoughts, choices, and actions—is centered on glorifying God, reflecting true, fully surrendered discipleship.

  • Colossians 2:8 – “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.”
  • 1 Corinthians 10:31 – “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
  • Ephesians 4:23 – “to be made new in the attitude of your minds;.”
  • Matthew 22:37 – “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'”
Live the Word

The ultimate goal of knowing the truth is to live according to it. True discipleship is demonstrated through obedience, transformation, a change of thinking (metanoia), and a life that reflects the teachings of Christ. Believers are called not only to hear God’s Word but to put it into practice in their daily lives.

  • James 1:22 — “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
  • Matthew 7:24 — “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
  • Joshua 1:8 – “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
